The following
was provided to Family Justice League by our friends at
A Child's Right
Representative Paul Condino is
Chair of the Judiciary Committee which currently has Michigan House
Bill 4564 at a standstill.
Recently we were informed that
Michigan House Bill 4564 would have a hearing with NO VOTE in the
month of MAY. This is nothing more than the continuation of child
abuse in Michigan!
Why NO VOTE and in the month of
MAY? This is running down the clock on the current legislative
session so that HB4564 will die in his committee. Seems rather
undemocratic to not have a vote on such an important bill that
affects so many parents and grandparents in the state of Michigan.
Voters, both parents and
grandparents, have contacted our organization and they are furious
to say the least. Some consider it a slap in their face. Others
have stated that this is similar to spitting in the faces of our
children.
The abuse of our children and
grandchildren in Michigan by the family court system must stop!

ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY BY REP. PAUL
CONDINO?
Read some of the statements and
arguments made by Representative Paul Condino
on his website. When you
read this think in the context of shared parenting for children. It
would seem by some of his statements that he would be ever so
passionate about Michigan House Bill 4564 and would rush it to the
floor for a vote.
It seems that choosing to get
married and then getting a divorce is punished, however if you are
unmarried Rep. Paul Condino believes in the EXACT arguments that we
make for shared parenting.
Here are a couple of sentences
we pulled from his website:
"Children Deserve Two Loving Parents;"
"Children should not have to bear the legal burden for their
parents' decision."
"While it would be ideal to hope that all parents are married to
each other, many adults do not marry for many reasons," Condino
said. "Children should not have to bear the legal burden for their
parents' decision."
--------------------------------------------------------
When a FIT
and WILLING parent is stripped away from his/her children because of
having a divorce this IS indeed child abuse. Michigan children can
no longer bear the pain and abuse which is further magnified by our
elected officials playing politics with our children.
Shared Parenting legislation, like Michigan House Bill 4564, is not
about fathers as the opposition likes to paint it. It is about our
children and grandchildren!! Children in Michigan are stripped away
from one of their FIT and WILLING parents every day in Michigan.
Children who were loved and guided by this fit and willing parent
every day is forced to see this parent only 4-6 days a month.
Perhaps Representative Paul Condino should review the
mounds of research that supports shared parenting.
This is not a complete list and is only a fraction of the research
that support the benefits of shared parenting to children.
So what is the excuse now after reviewing the
material?
EXCUSE TO CONTINUE THE ABUSE #1
ahh yes...judicial discretion. Does a judge in a short hearing
really know what is best for you and your children?
Keep in mind that it was the judicial discretion of the U.S. Supreme
Court that voted many years ago in favor of slavery!!
Federal Incentives $$$$ Drive Judicial Discretion
EXCUSE TO CONTINUE THE ABUSE #2
..."the best interest factors" used in child custody evaluations is
best for determining a child's custody arrangement.
You mean the custody evaluation that is typically performed by
someone with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice?
This (below) Michigan child custody evaluator blows the whistle on
the corruption in Michigan Friend of the Court Offices.
Watch this
video it will blow you away and make you mad as heck!
---------------------------------------------------------
IT IS TIME FOR OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO STOP THE ABUSE OF OUR
CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN NOW!
Representative Paul Condino - Who will you support the rich Michigan
Family Law Lobby OR Michigan's families, parents and children?
Children have a fundamental right to be loved, guided, educated and
nurtured equally by both fit and willing parents! To deny this IS
child abuse.
Thank you for your support and most of all
YOUR ACTION!
Sincerely,
Angela Pedersen, R.N.
