BIO
Don Delaney is a member of the national board of directors for
Family Justice League. Don has been fortunate not to have gone
through a divorce himself, but has seen the devastation caused by
the family courts in Virginia where his son and granddaughters were
denied their basic rights. Don assisted his son, who acted as his
own lawyer, with his divorce/custody case that lasted more than
three years.
Don has been involved in many events to promote justice in family
law including the Father’s Day Rally and the Million Dads March,
both held in Washington, D.C. In 2006, Don was extremely active
while serving as Florida’s state coordinator for Fathers-4-Justice
where he organized a rally in St. Petersburg, Florida that drew
participants from eight states. The rally also garnered attention
from WMNF radio, which boasts over 500,000 listeners in the St.
Pete/Tampa Bay area. Don left Fathers-4-Justice in February 2007
and (fortunately for us) accepted a board position with Family
Justice League in April 2007.
Don has over 30 years experience in computer system design and
development with a large Midwest utility firm. Don exercised an
early retirement option 14 years ago and moved to sunny Florida
where he now resides with his beautiful wife of 46 years. Don vows
to assist Family Justice League in leading the fight to defend the
rights of children of divorce. In Don’s spare time, he enjoys
fishing and any other outdoor activity that gives him an excuse to
soak up the Florida sun.
